In late 2021, Adrift Visuals had the opportunity to work on a collaborative project with Visit Isle of Wight and Red Funnel, one of the top ferry and information providers to the island. The aim of the project was to create a series of adventure content, motion and stills, for Autumn and Winter to attract visitors to the island during the out-of-season months.
The Isle of Wight is an ideal location for outdoor activities, and we were thrilled to be given the task of capturing seven of them during the two-day shoot. The island offers a diverse range of activities from mountain biking to kayaking to paddle-boarding. We started our shoot with mountain biking on the scenic hills of the island overlooking the West Wight coast and cliffs. The stunning views provided the perfect backdrop for some great shots.
Next up was hiking during sunset to take in the Needles lighthouse landmark. The sunset and lighthouse made for a beautiful and romantic shot, and we were lucky to have the perfect weather for it. We also got the chance to do some paddle-boarding around Freshwater Bay and explore the hidden caves tucked around the corners of the coastline. It was such a unique experience and provided us with some excellent ocean shots.
To finish off the shoot, we worked with Tackt-Isle Adventures for a kayak trip to some beautiful and secluded beach stretches. The turquoise waters and white sandy beaches were a sight to behold, and we couldn't resist taking some incredible shots.
Throughout the two-day shoot, we were fortunate to work with four talented models, some of whom were friends of the Adrift founders. It was a pleasure to work with them and bring our vision to life.
Adrift Visuals loves working with island-based brands like Visit Isle of Wight and Red Funnel. We appreciate the opportunity to showcase the beauty of the island and to help promote tourism. The project was one of those shoots that didn't feel like work at all. We had a great time exploring the island, working with a fantastic team, and creating content that will promote the Isle of Wight for years to come.
We would like to express our gratitude to Visit Isle of Wight and Red Funnel for the opportunity to work on this project. The content we produced will be shared and shown all across the island and beyond on different platforms both digital and print.
