Adrift is a UK based photography and video production agency specialising in producing creative, engaging, story-based visual content for the adventure and outdoors sector.

Born through Alice and Sam's joint passion for the ocean and the great outdoors, Adrift has captured moments for brands across the globe. 

We believe that creative production is a specialist activity. By solely focusing on content production and storytelling, Adrift uses the power of in-house specialist knowledge to deliver agile, high-quality photography, and video production.

Thank you for reaching out to Adrift Visuals. It was great to briefly chat about the execution of a video project with MINI UK. 

 

As you're aware, Adrift is a full-service production company, meaning that we can help you through every stage and scale of video and photography creation, making the whole process easy and enjoyable. From pre to post-production, we know that the creative process requires a lot of attention to detail, so we take pride in being able to work closely with our clients to create outstanding story-led visual content. We have a deep understanding of the video and photography requirements for online viewing, so rest assured, we've got your back when ensuring your content will fit into the most up-to-date trends.

ADRIFT X MINI UK

We're thrilled at the prospect of creating a series of visually striking 15-second videos for MINI UK. At Adrift, our team brings extensive experience with leading automotive brands such as Bentley, Mazda, Renault, and Polestar. We hope you've had a chance to explore some of this work, which highlights our ability to deliver across platforms. From bold campaign moments to engaging social stories, we've done it all and we’re excited to bring that same creative energy to MINI UK.

 

We'd love to propose the following bid for a four-day shoot for this campaign. 

Motion

 

  • Format: 3x 15s videos, same cast, same MINI Convertible; 9:16 for social/paid.

Notes

  • Feature the MINI logo, or distinctive features like the face of the car within the first two seconds.

  • Narrative Thread: Each video stands alone but together tells a full, breezy escape—from spark of spontaneity through open-road joy to arrival.

  • Visual Style: Sunlight, movement, color pops (echo MINI’s iconic palette); playful, premium, with urban and rural variety.

  • Brand Essentials: Show adaptability (fit for city & out-of-town); break the “indulgence only” myth with everyday, practical uses and relatable moments.

  • Sound/Music: Uplifting, modern tracks; non-scripted conversations or authentic exclamations preferred.

  • Car Features: Seamlessly incorporate standout MINI Convertible features into each scene: let the navigation inspire a spontaneous route; demonstrate how changing the Experience Mode sets the tone for the drive; capture the group enjoying high-quality audio on the road—making these details a natural part of the breezy adventure.

High-end, high-quality and intentional camera equipment, techniques and cinematic styles. We will ensure the content is trendy and contemporary and makes people stop scrolling! 
 

 Cinematic Style & Mood
 

  • Color palette: Cool tones (blues, greys, deep greens) + warm golden hour accents.The colour grading on the videos will complement the palette and textures of the locations, set design and car.
     

  • Cinematography: Mix of static and intimate handheld. Playful and premium. 
     

  • Pacing: Slow, immersive build-up transitioning to energetic, adventure-filled cuts. Natural sounds and foley. 
     

  • Music: Atmospheric, in-camera, wholesome and natural. 
     

  • Each video will be optimised for social.
     

  • Potential use of mixed media and retro cameras - optional! 

We want to create a feeling with our visuals. Moments that have a story and strong emotion. If the project goes ahead, we'd love to explore some creative ideas with you that make a candid and relatable feeling for your audience and customers. In order to do this, we propose that we introduce some mixed media into the shoot such as 'handycam' footage and analogue film.

We are brimming with other creative ideas and would love to explore them with you if this project escalates.

YOUR INVESTMENT

Please see below our first bid estimate for the project, which includes editing, cast and crew expences and usage rates. Please note this is an estimate and will need to be finalised if project firms up. A full content agreement will be created once the project is confirmed.

Unless stated, prices do not include: Model/talent hire, H&MU for talent, props, catering, travel expenses, location clearance, permits, accommodations or parking.  Long amendment periods, reshoots, additional edits for multi-platform use not specified by the client, stock footage/imagery or motion graphics are also not included. 

 

Prices do include 4K equipment hire, insurances including public liability and commercial drone operations licensing.

We aim to simplify the production process so you don't need to worry about anything. With a series of safeguarding procedures, we are constantly backing up your footage to illiminate the need for re-shoots.

 

We also work with a strong network of videographers and photographers meaning that if someone is sick

before a shoot we can call upon trusted contacts that have our back.

THE INSTAGRAM GENERATION

We like to keep things pretty 'reel' at Adrift. Social media is a big part of our everyday lives and a huge driving force for our business.  We have grown with the online world and understand what makes people tick on each platform. With this in mind, we are forever focused on what's new and exciting in the online world and we're very open to new ways of content creation and production. We ask that our clients are open and flexible to these new practices we instill in our productions. This means that if you see us on our phone during a shoot, it's for good reasons!
