In early November 2020, the Adrift team had the pleasure of working alongside CloudVisuals and Phil Harris to produce a drone only music video for the 10th Anniversary of Bonobos 'Black Sands' album.
The team headed to Derwentwater in the Lake District National Park for a day of shooting around the stunning peaks and lakeside scenery. The team consisted of pilot Will Harford on the DJI Inspire 2 with camera operator Amy Allott, along with Phil Harris operating the FPV drone. The video was directed by Sam from the Adrift team and with Alice assisting and capturing behind the scenes content.
The shoot brief and vision focussed on the communications tower found on the south side of the Derwentwater Lake. When Bonobos album 'Black Sands' originally launched 10 years ago, the tower featured on the album cover and has become an iconic landmark for fans all around the globe. We had to deliver a unique look to compliment the artists sound. The dynamic movement and speed of the FPV drone combined with the flexibility and quality of the Inspire 2, produced some stunning visuals for the video.
